NARRATOR: Skiing in Whistler - north east of Vancouver. This is the ideal place for people who enjoy the great outdoors, yet want a big city close by. Brett Crabtree and his friend have come to make the most of the excellent weather. Dagan is a photographer and wants to get a couple of shots of his famous freeskiing friend. With any luck they'll be able to get some interest from sponsors, as Brett hopes to turn his hobby into a full-time profession. In freeskiing, anything goes. Skiers make up the rules as they go along.

BRETT CRABTREE: "I can't think of anything better than skiing here. It gives you an incredible sense of freedom."

NARRATOR: Self discovery, freedom and physical extremes. As anyone who's been freeskiing will tell you, nothing else compares.

CRABTREE: "Just being out there playing about on the mountains is amazing. You're skiing around, then you jump from one of the cliffs and land on your feet. It's fun."

DAGAN BEACH: "Yeah, this is my dream job. It's a great way to spend the day."

NARRATOR: At the moment, Brett can't make a living from his skiing, even though he's already won a number of freeskiing titles. But thanks to these amazing photos, that may all be about to change.

CRABTREE: "You know, you're up on top and then you just launch yourself off. You're free. It's great."

NARRATOR: In freeskiing there are no courses, no goals, no rules. Skiers are at one with nature, away from the man-made pistes. It makes for an incredibly addictive sport - for amateurs and pros alike with or without sponsors.
